How To Increase Sperm Count

Sperm cells are male gametes which are very very essential for the production of the next generation. If the sperm count of any human male is low then, he and his wife may face problems in conceiving a baby. Whether a male has a healthy sperm count or not, is determined by three factors. Let's talk about those.

1. Quantity: There should be around at least 40 million sperm cells in every ejaculate in order to have a healthy sperm count.

2. Quality: At least 4% of the total sperm cells must have normal shape and size. The head should not be too big or too small. The tail should not be too long or too short. Also, there should not be two tails.

3. Motility: At least 40% of the total sperm cells must show vigorous motility in order to qualify for the healthy sperm count.

You can have a "Sperm count test" at your nearest hospital to know the above parameters regarding your sperm.

If you want to produce healthy sperms then, keep an eye on the following things.

1. Multivitamins: Add a multivitamin supplement to your diet. You have to focus more on Vitamins C and E. Addition to the multivitamin supplement you should add Vitamin C and E rich foods also.

2. Sperm Boosting Foods: Add Sperm Boosting Foods like Banana, Garlic, Eggs, Walnuts, Broccoli e.t.c. in your diet.

3 Antioxidants Food: Add antioxidants rich food to your diet. You can drink green tea, eat apples e.t.c.

4. Stress: You have to manage your stress because it is the major reason for poor sperm count.

5. Physical activity: Do physical activities on a daily basis. You can do workout, jogging, swimming, rope skipping e.t.c.

6. Obesity: The chances of having a poor sperm count is more when you are overweight. So, maintain a healthy fat percentage.

Now we have to take a look at the things we have to avoid.

1.Smoking: Try to avoid smoking.

2. Alcohol: Try to limit your alcohol consumption. Still, you can have it once or twice a week.

3. Drugs: Avoid Drugs like cocaine, heroin, weed e.t.c

4.Steroids: Steroids are chemically artificial testosterone. As you start consuming steroids your natural production of testosterone stops completely and your testicles start to shrink. This affects your sperm count.
